Idelma Quintana

Idelma Quintana is the City Commissioner for District 6 of the City of Hollywood, Florida, a nonpartisan office to which she was first elected in 2022 and re-elected in 2024. Before entering elected office, she dedicated much of her career to public service and community advocacy, with a background in education and civic engagement. She earned a Bachelor's degree from DePaul University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and later a Master's degree in Education from Walden University. In her first term, she championed the re-branding of State Road 7, now known as 'The Seven,' and has been a consistent advocate for economic development through the creation of quality, reasonably priced housing for working-wage earners. She was recognized with the Broward Sierra Group 2024 Environmental Champion Award for her commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership. Her current priorities include fostering innovation, sustainability, and economic prosperity within District 6.

The City of Hollywood Commission is the governing legislative body of the City of Hollywood, a municipal government in Broward County, Florida. Commissioners represent individual geographic districts and are collectively responsible for setting city policy, adopting the municipal budget, enacting ordinances, and providing oversight of city operations and services.
