Howard S. Weinberg

Howard S. Weinberg, Esq. serves as Mayor of the City of Aventura, Florida, a nonpartisan office to which he was elected unopposed and assumed office on November 15, 2022, for a four-year term. This current executive tenure follows his prior service as an Aventura City Commissioner from 2010 to 2018, which concluded due to municipal term limits. Outside of public office, Weinberg has built a distinguished career as an attorney specializing in condominium and homeowners association law, actively practicing as a partner with the Association Law Group (ALG). He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami, a Master of Arts in Government from Georgetown University, and a Juris Doctor from Boston University. Weinberg has been an active civic voice in Aventura, emphasizing team-oriented leadership on the City Commission and championing enhanced community spaces. He has officially filed his candidate registration paperwork to seek re-election to the Mayor's seat in the upcoming November 3, 2026 municipal election cycle.
