Amit Bloom

Amit Bloom serves as a City Commissioner for Seat 6 and currently serves as Vice Mayor for the City of Aventura, Florida, a nonpartisan municipal office to which she was first elected in November 2022 after securing 71.2% of the vote in a contested general election. Prior to holding elected office, she built a highly successful career in media, marketing, and creative production, serving for more than 22 years as a Partner and Creative Director at Stern Bloom Media and co-founding Aventura Magazine, and later as Beauty Editor at Lifestyle Media Group, LLC. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater management and business administration from the University of Miami. Before her election, Bloom was an active community leader serving on the Aventura Police Department Community Advisory Panel, the Community Services Advisory Board, and the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center Advisory Board. A breast cancer survivor and daughter of a Holocaust survivor, she has used her platform to combat hate speech, co-authoring a published op-ed on antisemitism, while concurrently serving as a member of the Miami-Dade Republican Executive Committee. Vice Mayor Bloom has officially filed candidate registration paperwork to seek re-election to her at-large Seat 6 position in the upcoming November 3, 2026 municipal election cycle.

The City of Aventura Commissioner is a member of the City Commission, the legislative and governing body of this municipal government in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Commissioners are responsible for setting city policy, adopting the municipal budget, enacting local ordinances, and providing oversight of city operations and services.
