Kimberly Konsky

Kimberly Konsky serves as the Councilwoman for Seat #1 on the Homestead City Council, representing the Northwest area of Homestead, Florida, a nonpartisan municipal office to which she was elected on November 4, 2025, by capturing 55.8% of the vote to unseat incumbent Thomas Davis. Prior to her election, she worked as a licensed real estate agent—currently affiliated with The Keyes Company—and spent 27 years serving the agriculture industry as a crop insurance agent. She holds a business degree, graduated from South Dade Senior High School, and has been a fixture in local civic organizations for over 30 years, volunteering thousands of hours with the Redland District Lions Club, the Woman's Club of Homestead, the Homestead Rodeo, the Rotary Seafood Festival, and the Kiwanis Prayer Breakfast. A lifelong Homestead resident of approximately 48 years and a Hurricane Andrew survivor, she built her public profile through deep community advocacy rooted in her upbringing as a farmer's daughter. Her campaign centered on requiring developers to bear a greater share of costs for roadway and infrastructure improvements rather than placing that financial burden on Homestead families. Since taking office for a term running through December 31, 2029, her stated priorities include traffic mitigation, responsible development, city cleanups, and ensuring that growth in Homestead benefits existing residents.

The Homestead City Council is the legislative governing body of the City of Homestead, a municipal government in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Council members are responsible for setting city policy, adopting the municipal budget, enacting local ordinances, and providing oversight of city operations and services.
