Tim Meerbott

Tim Meerbott serves as the nonpartisan elected Mayor of the Town of Cutler Bay, Florida, a position he has held following multiple election victories in the community he has called home since 1965. Prior to and alongside his role as Mayor, Meerbott has worked for over 35 years as a Senior Division Manager for Allstate Corporation. He attended local schools and went on to study at Florida International University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Among his notable accomplishments, Meerbott is credited with bringing the resolution that authorized golf carts on town roads and has actively worked with the South Dade Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Council, and the Beacon Council to attract new restaurants and entertainment businesses to Cutler Bay. He has also been involved in local schools' sports programs and faith-based organizations throughout his tenure. As of the November 3, 2026 municipal general election, Meerbott is termed out and ineligible to seek another term as Mayor.

The Mayor of the Town of Cutler Bay is the chief elected executive of this municipal government in Miami-Dade County, Florida, serving as a member of the Town Council.
