Marci Woodward is the Vice Mayor of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, representing the coastal and suburban communities of District 4. A member of the Republican Party, she was first elected to the commission in November 2022 after spending nearly 20 years as an active Boca Raton resident engaged in civic and community affairs. Originally from South Carolina, she attended the University of South Carolina Aiken, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. Since taking office, Woodward has established herself as a leading voice on housing affordability. She successfully spearheaded the development of Palm Beach County's new Homebuyer Match Pilot Program, which provides up to $50,000 in matching funds to make homeownership attainable for local workers. In addition to her housing advocacy, she serves on the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County and has championed expanded technical education and workforce development opportunities for regional youth. Her ongoing governing priorities focus on ensuring a transparent and accountable county government, reducing traffic congestion, and expanding viable pathways to financial security for all residents.
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners is the primary legislative and governing body of Palm Beach County, a county-level government in Florida. The Board sets county policy, adopts the annual budget, enacts ordinances, and oversees the delivery of county services; the Vice Mayor serves as presiding officer in the Mayor's absence and shares in these legislative and executive responsibilities.
