Gregg K. Weiss

Gregg K. Weiss is the District 2 Commissioner for Palm Beach County, representing the county's central-eastern urban core. A member of the Democratic Party, Weiss was first elected in November 2018, served as County Mayor from 2022 to 2023, and recently announced he will forgo a third commission term to run for Mayor of West Palm Beach. Prior to his public service, he built a successful private-sector career in sales and marketing for multiple Fortune 500 tech companies before retiring and dedicating his time to local civic leadership. On the county commission, Weiss has established a strong reputation as a forward-thinking policymaker on modern technology, spearheading regional efforts to expand high-speed internet and leading national initiatives on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). An avid advocate for local ecosystems, he balances his district duties with key leadership roles, including serving on the Solid Waste Authority board and chairing both the Palm Beach County Water Resources Task Force and the Lake Worth Lagoon Initiative Steering Committee.
