Joel G. Flores

Joel G. Flores is the District 3 Commissioner for Palm Beach County, representing central-eastern communities like Greenacres, Palm Springs, and Lake Worth Beach. A member of the Democratic Party, Flores made history in November 2024 by becoming the first Hispanic commissioner elected to the board after winning a newly redrawn, Hispanic-majority district. Flores is a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran who earned a Combat Action Badge and an Army Commendation Medal during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Prior to entering county office, he spent over a decade in banking and wealth management while serving as the Mayor of the City of Greenacres from 2017 to 2024. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Lyndon State College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern New Hampshire University. Today, his commission priorities center on public safety, upgrading localized traffic roads, expanding technical youth education, and tackling housing affordability across District 3.

The Palm Beach County Commissioner is an elected member of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, the legislative and governing body of Palm Beach County, Florida. The Board holds authority over the county budget, land use, zoning, public infrastructure, and the delivery of county services to residents.
