Delarian Wiggins

Delarian Wiggins is the Nonpartisan City Council Member for District 7 in Pensacola, Florida, having been installed in office on November 24, 2020, following his election. Prior to his council role, Wiggins worked in law enforcement with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office. He graduated from Washington High School in Pensacola and later attended the Florida Leadership Academy. Following high school, Wiggins served in the United States Army and Army National Guard, earning awards from the U.S. Department of the Navy, the U.S. Department of the Air Force, and the U.S. House of Representatives in recognition of his military service. As a native Pensacolian, he has focused his tenure on addressing the challenges facing residents who live, work, and play in District 7 through innovative community-oriented approaches. On the council, his platform champions expanded local mental health resources, homelessness outreach, and municipal transparency to prevent the displacement of legacy residents amid ongoing city development.

The City Council Member for District 7 is a member of the legislative body of the City of Pensacola, a municipal government in Escambia County, Florida. The role carries responsibility for setting city policy, approving the municipal budget, enacting local ordinances, and representing the interests of District 7 constituents before the full City Council.
