Jeffrey P. Freimark

Jeffrey P. Freimark serves as Mayor and District 2 representative on the Bal Harbour Village Council, a nonpartisan municipal office to which he was first elected on November 8, 2016. Outside of his legislative duties, Freimark has built a highly distinguished multi-decade corporate career, currently practicing as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Miami Jewish Health. He holds CPA licenses and is admitted to the Bar in both Florida and New Jersey, and previously commanded elite global financial operations as the Chief Financial Officer for corporate giants including OfficeMax, Beverly Enterprises, and Intelsat. Freimark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of South Florida, an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business, and a Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. Alongside his corporate and municipal responsibilities, he sits on the board of directors for IKS Health and the Florida Health Care Association. On the council, Mayor Freimark has used his financial expertise to prioritize fiscal transparency, lead regional capital improvement projects like the Jetty and Waterfront Park, and heavily defend neighborhood zoning structures against aggressive state-level developer workarounds.

The Bal Harbour Village Councilman is an elected legislative position within the municipal government of the Village of Bal Harbour, Florida. The council is responsible for setting village policy, adopting budgets and ordinances, and providing oversight of village administration and services.
