Maria G. Marino

Maria G. Marino is the Palm Beach County Commissioner for District 1, representing the county's northern and coastal communities. First elected in November 2020 and re-elected in 2024, she serves as a champion for low taxes, small government, environmental conservation, and robust community partnerships. A member of the Republican Party, Marino served as the Mayor of Palm Beach County from November 2024 to November 2025 and previously served as the Mayor of Palm Beach Gardens. Before entering public office, she earned a degree from the University of Connecticut, moved to Florida in 1985 after winning the State Women's Amateur Golf Championship, and built a successful 35-year career as a real estate broker and professional LPGA golf instructor. Marino is an active civic leader who spent over two decades as the Executive Director of the Jupiter Children's Foundation and was honored as the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce "Woman of the Year" in 2017. Today, she balances her county commission duties with over 15 public board seats, including serving on the Solid Waste Authority and chairing the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council.
