McKenzie Fleurimond

McKenzie Fleurimond serves as Vice Mayor of the City of North Miami Beach, Florida, a nonpartisan elected office he holds representing Group 5, having been unanimously selected as Vice Mayor by his fellow commissioners. Prior to holding this role full-time, he served as a District Assistant to former Florida State Representative Ronald A. Brise of District 108 and has operated as a business owner holding a 2-15 insurance license in Life, Health, and Annuities from the State of Florida. He studied Business Administration at Johnson and Wales University and graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School. Fleurimond has championed economic development initiatives including the Jefferson Plaza on NE 8th Avenue, a mixed-use project that brought a Publix, Loews, and Chick-fil-A to the community, generating hundreds of new jobs for residents. As Vice Mayor, he has been recognized by colleagues for his pragmatic problem-solving approach and communication skills, earning the informal designation of 'Speaker of the House' among the commission. He has stated his intention to use the visibility of the Vice Mayor role to promote unity in North Miami Beach's diverse community.
