Seth E. Salver

Seth E. Salver serves as Mayor of the Village of Bal Harbour, Florida, a nonpartisan position to which he was first elected to the Village Council representing District 1 in November 2014 at the age of 26, subsequently assuming the mayoralty in November 2025. Prior to becoming Mayor, he served as Vice Mayor beginning in 2016, accumulating over a decade of municipal legislative experience alongside his career as a Certified Public Accountant and partner at the accounting firm Salver + Salver, LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and launched his public accounting career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in Washington, D.C.. In 2024, he was appointed to the Board of the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust. His ascension to the mayoralty made national headlines as an Orthodox Jewish leader taking the gavel in a town that once historically held anti-Jewish property restrictions. The milestone also coincided with his father, Isaac Salver, serving simultaneously as Mayor of the neighboring Village of Bay Harbor Islands—who emotionally administered Seth's oath of office to mark the first instance in Florida history of a father and son holding mayoral positions concurrently. He resides in the village with his schoolteacher wife, Perla, and their four children. His current term runs continuously through November 2028, focusing his platform on strict beach preservation, fiscal utility, and enhancing resident safety.
