Suzy Lord

Suzy Lord serves as Council Member for Seat 2 on the Town of Cutler Bay Town Council, a nonpartisan municipal office to which she was first elected in a December 2020 runoff and subsequently re-elected to a second four-year term in November 2024. Endorsed for re-election by the Cutler Bay News, Lord has worked professionally in the South Florida legal community for over 30 years as a defensive litigation paralegal and was named a 2024 Miami-Dade County Woman of Impact. She grew up locally, attending Cutler Ridge Junior High and graduating from Miami Southridge Senior High School. Lord has been a resident of the Cutler Bay community for over 40 years, having moved to the region from Germany at age 12 when her father retired from the U.S. Army—a background that, along with her grandfather's history as a German town Mayor, instilled in her a deep commitment to civic service. Her tenure has been marked by advocacy for environmental preservation, managing local traffic, protecting endangered wetlands, and preserving the town's character. In her current term, she continues to focus on neighborhood interests, sustainable municipal programming, and responsible growth within the Town of Cutler Bay.
