Tanya K. Bhatt

Tanya K. Bhatt serves as a Commissioner for Group 4 on the Miami Beach City Commission, a nonpartisan municipal office to which she was elected in November 2023. Before taking office, she built a prominent local profile in civic leadership roles, serving as president of Miami Beach United, a board member of the Miami Design Preservation League, and as Vice Chair of the Miami Beach Planning Board. She is a graduate of Brown University, using her academic background to fuel a highly successful 20-year corporate marketing career that included leading global branding divisions for Converse. In April 2025, she was honored by the Arts & Business Council of Miami with the Elected Official of the Year Award for her steadfast dedication to public arts funding. On the commission, her legislative achievements include sponsoring the city's landmark Blue Zones wellness project alongside her ongoing advocacy for residents' rights, historic preservation, and fiscal transparency.
