Thomas Good, Jr. serves as City Commissioner for District 1 of the City of Pembroke Pines, Florida, a nonpartisan municipal office to which he was first elected in March 2018. He won re-election unopposed in 2022, and most recently secured a third four-year term on March 10, 2026. A long-standing resident of Pembroke Pines, Good graduated from Cooper City High School and honorably served six years in the United States Navy, spending much of his service aboard the destroyer USS Caron (DD-970). Following his military service, he pursued higher education at St. Thomas University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Executive Management. Professionally, he is a veteran civil engineer with over three decades of experience in public utilities and water management, currently working with the South Florida Water Management District. On the City Commission, where he has previously been selected by his peers to serve as Vice Mayor, Good leverages his technical background to advocate for infrastructure modernization, localized flood-mitigation programs, and sustainable green energy initiatives. His two children were raised in Pembroke Pines, attended local public schools, and graduated from Florida State University.
The Pembroke Pines City Commissioner represents one of the city's geographic districts as a member of the City Commission, the legislative governing body of this municipal government in Broward County, Florida.
