"I will fight to protect taxpayers from health care fraud and abuse."
News Source Floridian Press · February 2026 · https://floridianpress.com/2026/02/aaron-bean-introduces-bill-combating-healthcare-fraud/
Bean introduced the Punishing Health Care Fraudsters Act (H.R.7569) on February 13, 2026, in the 119th Congress, aiming to raise minimum prison sentences for healthcare fraud from 10 years to 25 years and increase fines substantially. The bill was referred to the House Committees on the Judiciary, Energy and Commerce, and Ways and Means; a Senate companion bill was introduced by Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) and referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee in January 2026. Additionally, Bean introduced the DME Scammer Prevention Act (H.R.8871) on May 19, 2026, targeting Medicare fraud in durable medical equipment; that bill passed the House Ways and Means Committee on approximately May 21, 2026. As of May 24, 2026, neither H.R.7569 nor H.R.8871 has received a full chamber floor vote or been signed into law, leaving both bills in active but early-to-mid legislative stages.

Securing the Southern Border
Economy & Taxes
◐ Partial
"One of the federal government's top responsibilities is protecting the homeland, and a secure border is critical to our national security... To end the chaos at the border, we must enforce the law."
Gov. Record View Source ↗
Bean visited the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas in March 2023, stating on arrival that he was "fulfilling a campaign promise" to see the crisis firsthand. He voted in favor of H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023, which passed the House on May 11, 2023 (219–213) with Republican-only support but died in the Senate. In the 119th Congress, Bean supported broader border security measures consistent with the Republican majority and publicly championed 'America First' domestic priorities. Several provisions from H.R. 2 were incorporated into the reconciliation package signed into law in July 2025. The Laken Riley Act (Public Law 119-1), signed January 29, 2025, which requires DHS to detain undocumented individuals charged with certain crimes, also passed with Republican support. Bean has not authored standalone, enacted border security legislation as primary sponsor, leaving his record one of consistent supportive voting rather than originating legislation.

Lowering Inflation
Economy & Taxes
◐ Partial
"This is the type of tax-cutting spirit I will take to Washington to overturn the Biden-Pelosi tax increases and their reckless spending that have given our country the worst inflation since the Jimmy Carter economy."
News Source View Source ↗
Bean campaigned explicitly on cutting Biden-era spending and taxes as a means to reduce inflation, stating he would 'overturn the Biden-Pelosi tax increases.' As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee in the 119th Congress, Bean voted in favor of the Senate Amendment to H.Con.Res.14 (the budget resolution framework) and publicly supported the 2025 reconciliation act (the 'One Big Beautiful Bill Act'), which included major tax cut extensions. Bean also introduced the HSA's For All Act (H.R.7681, April 2026) to expand health savings accounts, framing it as a healthcare affordability measure. However, as of May 2026, CBO projects PCE inflation at 2.7% for 2026 — still above the Fed's 2% target and partly elevated by tariff policy — indicating inflation has not been fully resolved. No standalone anti-inflation bill authored by Bean has passed into law.

"I remain committed to being an active and engaged representative that listens to and fights for his constituency. Serving the voters is my most important job as their representative in Congress – one that I take seriously each and every day."
News Source Fernandina Observer · 2025 · https://www.fernandinaobserver.org/stories/bean-slams-voter-meeting-as-fake-town-halls,54981
As of 2025, Bean has refused to attend in-person constituent town halls on Amelia Island, calling voter-organized events 'fake town halls' in a statement issued just before one such meeting in April 2025. He was also reported to have exited a private town hall through a side door, avoiding constituent questions. Bean's office has conducted telephone town halls (including March 26, 2025) with pre-screened participants, but local press and constituents have criticized this as insufficient open engagement.

News Source Aaron Bean Official Website · 2024 · https://aaronbean.com/news/
Bean voted for and championed the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act (H.R. 7024) on January 31, 2024, which passed the House 357-70 but was blocked in a Senate procedural vote on August 1, 2024 (44-48, needing 60). In 2025, Bean continued pursuing tax relief by speaking on the House floor in support of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1), which passed the House 215-214 on May 22, 2025, and was ultimately signed into law by President Trump on July 4, 2025—delivering tax relief for families, workers, and small businesses consistent with Bean's stated pro-taxpayer position.
