Mari Tere Rojas

Mari Tere Rojas is a veteran educator with more than 45 years of experience in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She was first elected to the School Board in 2016 representing District 6 and is currently serving her third term. She has been re-elected as Chair of the Miami-Dade County School Board four consecutive times, most recently in November 2025. As a longtime educator she has dedicated her career to improving educational outcomes for students across Miami-Dade. District 6 covers central Miami-Dade including Little Havana, Coral Gables, and surrounding communities.

Elected School Board Member and current Chair of the Miami-Dade County School Board representing District 6. As Chair she presides over all board meetings, sets the meeting agenda, and serves as the official spokesperson for the board. Responsible for setting district-wide education policy, approving the annual budget, and representing the interests of students, parents, and educators in central Miami-Dade communities.
