Daniel Webster

Daniel Alan Webster is the U.S. Representative for Florida's 11th Congressional District, a Republican, who was first elected to Congress in 2010 and has represented the 11th district since January 3, 2017. Before his congressional career, Webster served in the Florida State Legislature for nearly three decades, including as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2011 and as a member of the Florida State Senate. Webster attended Auburn University, where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. During his tenure in Congress, Webster has served on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, leveraging his engineering background and extensive transportation policy experience to advocate for infrastructure investment in Florida. He has also been noted for his challenge to House Speaker John Boehner in 2015, earning the support of the House Freedom Caucus. Webster declared retirement on April 28, 2026, and will not be seeking reelection and will serve the rest of his term.
