Support for Medicare Patient Access and Physician Payment Stability

◐ Partial
The Promise
"I ran for Congress to protect the programs hard-working Americans earned, not to tear them down. I've said it plainly before, and I will say it again here: I do not support cuts to Social Security or Medicare. These are earned benefits... They are not gifts from Washington. They are promises made, and I will keep them."

The Record
Haridopolos cosponsored H.R.879, the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act of 2025, on April 29, 2025. The bipartisan bill, introduced by Reps. Greg Murphy (R-NC) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), sought to reverse a 2.83% Medicare physician payment cut effective January 1, 2025, and provide a 6.62% payment increase for services furnished April 1 through December 31, 2025. As of May 25, 2026, the bill remains in the referral stage with no floor vote recorded, having been referred to both the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Ways and Means Committee on January 31, 2025. Streamlining Commercial Space Launch Licensing
Other

The Promise
"A key initiative I will champion to pursue this is streamlining the launch licensing process for spaceflight companies, which goes through a process within the Federal Aviation Administration called Part 450. Delays in obtaining these licenses create unnecessary roadblocks for the industry."
